Launched in August 2003, M/Y Blue Pearl is an outstanding liveaboard which offers very comfortable accommodation for up to 20 guests. There are 9 twin and 2 double cabins, all with ample storage space. Each cabin has en-suite shower/toilet, individual A/C units and audio system. The Blue Pearls sturdy design, aerodynamic hull and extensive array of high tech navigational aids and communication equipment makes her ideal for the more demanding Southern itineraries and Marine Parks. On board luxury is immediately noticeable with teak decks and mahogany in the saloon area and cabins. The living area is spacious and there is a sundeck. The dive platform allows easy access to the water. The Blue Pearl also offers full Nitrox and technical diving facilities
The Itinerary
This trip will leave on Friday 21st September 2007 returning on Friday 28th September. This trip is on board the M/Y Blue Pearl. Another excellent boat, that is again only two years old This is an unusual trip in that we will sail from Hurghada but the trip will finish in Marsa Alam. By following this route it means that not only can we dive the northern wrecks, e.g. Thistlegorm, Ghiannis D , Carnatic, Dunraven, Chrisoulis etc. but we will then be sailing down past Safaga which means we can dive the Salem Express After that we will have an overnight sail and finish the trip on Elphinstone Reef where hopefully we will see some sharks.
After returning to Marsa Alam we will need to be taken by coach back to Hurghada (2/3 hours but don't worry these are good roads now) where we will spend the last night in a hotel (probably the Hilton or the Marriott ), while we de-gas before flying home on Friday. This is an action packed trip and definitely one for the wreckies.
