Another successful club and school trip!!
After the success of the trip in June we decided we would repeat the trip. Based on the success of this latest trip we will definitely be coming here a few times next year
The school had 6 people doing the Advanced Open Water, 3 on the Peak Performance Buoyancy, and one completing the Open Water. In addition we had 8 club members coming along for the dives.
If you don't know Stoney you will have seen from the pictures of the earlier trip that it is a huge site with excellent facilities including showers, shop, snack bar, restaurant, and a pub !! Normally the visibility is also very good as it is an old quarry, that doesn't get kicked up too easily. Unfortunately this weekend we suffered a little bit as there was definite plankton "bloom" which did affect the visibility. Nevertheless it didn't stop us completing some excellent dives. As usual the social side was very good particularly the ice cream throwing at the dinner table.
The pictures below sow some of the people and activities undertaken at the weekend. The advanced Open Water group who had not met each other before were also all booked on the upcoming Red Sea trip. They got on really well and should make sure we all enjoy the week away, even if Sam did get narked and forget his own name at 25m !!!!
