Tenerife November 2005
Tenerife - still one of Europe's best kept diving secrets
The last trip of the year. Even though the club visits Tenerife a few times a year this is the latest we have been. But no worries.... while you in the UK were experiencing frost and snow, we were still basking in 28 degree sunshine, and water temperatures of 22 degrees !! Doing a surface interval in beautiful sunshine whilst watching people put up Christmas decorations is a bit tough but hey.... someone has to do it
Since our last visit there is a new wreck been placed in 28m water, totally intact and undamaged which we really wanted to see. As usual we went to feed the rays and a few deeper dives to look at the Black coral (which is incidentally green !! ) as usual the whole week was a great success with everyone enjoying themselves immensely. Here are just a few pictures of the week, with the obligatory grumpy, psycho photograph of Denise. (See if you can spot which is her and which is the grumpy Moray eel)
First let's look at the new wreck - The Meridian
All intact
Steps and decking
Even all the railings
Mast and Rigging
Rope ladders
and once again the stern
What about the divers ??
Paul and Dave really wanted to learn to hover like "Buddha". Boy did they practice !!!!!!!!
Ex B--C diver !! He can't help himself
Gemma looking very pleased with herself
Denise,(trying to look like Jackie O, and failing miserably) with our host - Geoff

Paul when he is not hovering !!
The other (hovering) Dave willing the boat home !!

Someone on a DPV
Could this be the psycho photograph? Look at her eyes
What about a few fish and things ?
The boiler off the Condesito
A beautiful ray in full flight
Feeding rays and other fish
" I wonder if they will eat Denise ... if I give them more food"
"That one is trying to eat her face !!"
"They have eaten my head instead"
A very charming Green Moray
A Nurse shark
Puffer fish are really cute. They don't quite understand. They are supposed to sit still for photographs
