The planned dive to City of Waterford unfortunately had to be changed due to high winds. As a result we went back to the Brisbane . The weather had been unbelievably hot for the last week or so and we were expecting good vis. Wrong !! We had about 1m, which made for a difficult dive. It was difficult to see much at all but by keeping close to the ground we managed to see a few Tom Pot Blennies. People came back from this a little subdued and were hopeful for the second dive. For this we went to Saltdean ledge. This is a shallow reef just off shore made up of a series of chalk gulleys. Visibility was much better at round 7-8m. Everyone came up smiling having had a good long dive which made up for the earlier difficulties on the Brisbane . With this depth and visibility I would have been able to get some good photographs- - that is, if I had brought my camera ! So no photographs of the team this month |
