What will I Learn during the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Course?
You'll learn how to ascend and descend so effortlessly, it seems like you only have to think about it and it happens. By mastering streamlining, you'll be able to move through the water cleanly, efficiently and gracefully. You'll find you can swim near fragile environments without harm to them or yourself.
This course is primarily practical in content, however there is a degree of academic study, which should be carried out both independently and with a video presentation and instructor led discussion. However, the focus of this course is on the practice and mastery of effective and good buoyancy control! It consists of two open water training dives.
The course normally runs over one day, dependant upon the dive site location and logistics. At the discretion of the instructor additional confined water training sessions may be required, prior to participants going to open water.
The pre-dive discussions will cover the following topics -
- Fine-tuning buoyancy underwater.
- Weight positioning and distribution.
- Streamlining.
- Visualisation.
- Physical fitness and good buoyancy control.
Good buoyancy skills are what separate good divers from great divers. If you're interested in becoming a Wreck Diver , Underwater Digital Photographer or Underwater Videographer - the Peak Performance Buoyancy course is an essential part of perfecting your scuba diving skills in these other areas.
As already said many times good buoyancy is the key to good diving. It is also vital to taking good photographs without damaging nththe underwater environment. For this reason Sussex Scuba have combined these two course into a weekend special course that covers both aspects and allows you to develop your buoyancy while developing your photography skills. An extremely valuable course
