The Adventures in Diving programme offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification. If you complete your Deep Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Why Advanced Open Water Diver? Are you looking for new underwater experiences? Would new skills help expand your diving opportunities? Do you want a chance to pursue diving activities that really interest you? Whether you are newly certified or have logged many dives, if you answer, "yes" to any of these questions, you can look to Sussex Scuba's PADI Advanced Open Water course. This course is the place to start gaining more experience and becoming a more competent diver. These programs will also begin your progression toward the Master Scuba Diver rating, which is the most prestigious non-teaching rating awarded by PADI
After your five dives, you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater environment.

The Advanced Open Water Diver consists of 5 dives, the first two - Deep Dive, and Navigation Dive are an integral part of the course. After this you can chose the courses that best meet your interests. The list is extensive and includes the following:

As you are aware mastering buoyancy is a major part of becoming a great diver. For this reason we build buoyancy control into the whole weekend. To get the most out of the weekend we always start with the Peak Performance Buoyancy dive, and we always include the wreck. Not only are these both excellent dives they will really help to develop your skills. For the other elected dive we tend to go for Search and Recovery as not only is it good fun but it also allows us to work with your bouyancy again and thereby get the most out of the weekend.

This course is very flexible in terms of dates and scheduling. The dates below assume the whole course is conducted at Stoney Cove over one weekend which is a lot of fun and very relaxing. The course can be scheduled to take place by a combination of dates. eg one day at Wraysbury followed by one day at Stoney. Course Details
Description:	As above.
Objectives:	This course continues your diving education and skill development after which you are able to take part in more adventurous dives
Age restrictions:	Minimum age 15 years old
Pre-requisites:	Open Water certification Minimum age 15 years
Course duration:	5 dives usually over one weekend. Though schedules can be amended to suit individual students requirements.
What must you bring:	Adventures in Diving crewpack Completed Knowledge reviews Log book Lake entrance fees are not included

Additional information:	Once You have completed this course you will be able to take part in almost any dive offered by a PADI school anywhere in the world up to a depth of 30m. This includes more interesting wrecks and deeper dives. Should you wish to progress to greater depths you will need to complete the Deep Diver Specialty. Once completed you will be able to dive to a maximum of 40m. This qualification is often requested by insurance companies, to cover you for dives deepere that 18m
