PADI Open Water Diver - Referral (A006)

The Flexible approach to diver training

(Just got even more flexible with the introduction of PADI eLearning !!)

Many people today have experienced a try dive overseas and would like to learn to dive properly in the UK but are put off by our supposedly cold water and poor visibility. (Actually this is not necessarily true !!)

Also at this time of year it is the ideal way to start your course so that you don't spend valuable holiday time in the classroom

If this applies to you then this is the course for you. With the Open Water Diver referral, one of our instructors will guide you through the knowledge reviews and administer the quizzes and tests, after which we take you to the pool where you complete the water skills over 5 pool dives. We then issue an Open Water referral card which you simply arrange to take to a PADI Dive Centre anywhere in the world. (Please note that until you complete the open water dives you are not a qualified diver)

You then complete the final four qualifying open water dives in a resort of your choice to receive your Open Water Diver certification. We can even help you to find a Dive Centre to complete your course with. How flexible is that! (please note the costs for the various centres around the world vary and we do not have access to these costs).
	We even arrange regular dive trips to Tenerife in the Canary Islands to complete Open Water Diver and other courses. Alternatively you can time your pool training to coincide with one of our regular trips to the Red Sea. Imagine completing your course on some of the finest dive sites in the world ! PADI eLearning For even more flexibility, and as an alternative to the classroom session, we are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer the new PADI eLearning option. This approach allows you to complete all the necessary preparation and theory work in the comfort of your own home, office or anywhere where you can get an internet connection. This approach is not suitable for everyone, as most people prefer the assistance of an instructor in a face to face environment. Objectives:		To complete all knowledge reviews and basic pool work in advance of referring to an overseas centre to complete open water dives
Age restrictions:		Minimum age 10 years old
Pre-requisites:		Ability to swim 200m - any stroke Be able to tread water for 10minutes You will need to be relatively healthy
Course duration:		One weekend and one classroom session or home study via eLearning
What is supplied:		Full set of scuba equipment Wet suit Tanks and air fills Snorkel mask and fins Light lunch during classroom sessions
What must you bring:		Open Water crew pack (can be bought from Sussex Scuba) Completed knowledge reviews Swimming trunks, towel etc.
