Why Discover Scuba Diving?

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional in the safety of a swimming pool.

Try dives vary from school to school in terms of what is provided and offered. Our approach is to provide a full service so that you can really decide whether scuba diving is for you.

So, rather than putting some ill fitting equipment on your back and dragging you around a small pool for 20-25 minutes, we make sure the equipment is in the correct sizes, we explain the simple workings of the equipment and brief you on what to expect, we also give you a basic introduction in how to work some parts of the equipment.

When you are ready we then take you into the pool, usually with two students per instructor. Once you have had a gentle swim around in very shallow water and if you are ready, we will start to show and teach you some of the basic skills required of a Scuba diver. The whole experience lasts for around 1.5 to two hours. and at the end of the session we are confident that not only will you have enjoyed it, but you will be keen to continue the adventure and start to learn how to dive properly with the PADI Open Water Course

The Padi Discover Scuba Diving programme is designed to introduce people in a highly supervised but relaxed manner to scuba diving. As a result it can be a great help to a family who wants to dive together, or for a more nervous diver who wants to "put a toe in the water". All our instructors are very experienced with such courses having worked with children and nervous adults for many years. They will give you the confidence you need to enjoy the dive. If after the dive, you find that it was as good as we say (and we know you will) then you will be able to register for the full Open Water Course. Also the dives from this course will count towards your final qualification. When you participate in a Discover Scuba Diving programme, you discover excitement and adventure - freedom and serenity. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!

Additional information:	As soon as you Discover Scuba Diving, you're on your way to an internationally recognised certification. That's because you may learn skills used in the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Discover Scuba Diving adventure. If you and your instructor elect to practice these skills, they may be credited toward the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certifications. If you would like to take it further after the course speak to your instructor and we can discuss the options and the exemptions you have for the Open Water Course
