Who are we?
The club is now seven years old and is thriving. At the time of writing this March 2012, the club now has around 100 active members!
The club is not affiliated to any training agency and as such we are free from all the usual rules and politics. The aim of the club is quite simple - our intention is to create a club open to any diver, regardless of who they they trained with. and that provides a venue to practice existing and new skills. We also aim to provide regular dives, UK trips and overseas holidays - given the success of al our trips we appear to have achieved this.
What do we do ?
We are a very active club, and by active I don't mean we have 5/6 people in the pool every session. As well as a very busy pool (and of course a relaxing drink afterwards) the club arrange a wide range of events form regular hard boat dives, UK and overseas trips, as well as non diving such as 10 pin bowling, end of season dinner and a beach barbecue, which are all very well attended. Over 50 people attended the beach barbecue bringing along partners and children for a great day out. Events also include film nights and occasional talks on diving matters such as marine archaeology and dolphin rescue. The full list of events for 2012 is as follows
- RIB dives from Selsey
- Hard boat dives from Bright
- 2 UK coastal trips (weekend)
- 3 Inland trips to Stoney Cove (weekend)
- Film Nights
- Midweek evening dives to Wraysbury
- Annual photography competition
More details of all of these can be found by following the links at the bottom of the page
As usual with all the above events, members will be advised by email. If events are not fully booked by members they will then be opened to non members |
